The menstrual phase is our body’s natural invitation to slow down, turn inward, and surrender.
As hormones drop, energy levels are at their lowest, making this the perfect time for deep restoration, introspection, and self-care. This is a phase of heightened intuition, where we gain access to inner wisdom, if we allow ourselves to listen.
In this phase, we embody The Oracle archetype: the wise grandmother within us who sees clearly and understands the cycles of life. She honors rest, trusts the natural ebb and flow, and embraces stillness as a sacred part of renewal. Instead of resisting this pause, we allow ourselves to fully soften into it.
We begin with gentle breath awareness to connect with the womb space and invite a sense of surrender. The movement portion of this class is fully restorative, using supportive postures that cradle the womb and promote deep relaxation. Poses are held for longer periods, encouraging the body to soften, release tension, and receive nourishment. I will introduce you to a hand mudra to enhances the downward flow of energy, supporting the body’s natural process of release.
Mandatory props: two blocks, one bolster, one strap. All levels welcome.
